Village of Grayslake Committee of the Whole met May 2.

Public Comment – Agenda Items: None.
1. Approval: Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 18, 2017
Trustee Waldenstrom made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 18, 2017. On voice vote - all “aye”. Motion carried.
2. Discussion: Special Use Permit – 884 Blazing Star Road (Solar Panels)
Mayor Taylor stated the Village has received a request from the homeowners at 884 Blazing Star Road to install solar panels on the south portion of their roof. Mayor Taylor stated the installation is supported by the neighbors. In addition, the Prairie Crossing Homeowner’s Association Architecture Committee approved the request. Mayor Taylor noted the Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously recommended granting the request.
Trustee Vogel stated the presentation at the Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals meeting was thorough and well done. He stated he supports the request.
After brief additional discussion, Trustee Jarvis made a motion granting the request and directing the building permit to be immediately issued. Trustee Nicodemus 2nd. All “ayes”. Motion carried.
3. Other Business: None.
4. Adjournment: Trustee Jarvis made a motion, seconded by Trustee Waldenstrom, to adjourn. On voice vote – all “aye”. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
