Analysis: Deerfield pays $3.48 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Deerfield-Bannockburn Fpd Firefighters Pension Fun

Taxpayers contributed 77.7 percent of the $1,799,100 the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fpd Firefighters Pension Fun brought in last year, or $3.48 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Deerfield contributed $1,398,327 to the fund, which saw a $79,038 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $400,773, or 22.3 percent, in 2016.
