Analysis: Grayslake pays $2.59 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Grayslake Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.2 percent of the $1,036,552 the Grayslake Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.59 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Grayslake contributed $748,319 to the fund, which saw a $178,429 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $288,233, or 27.8 percent, in 2016.
