Analysis: Wauconda pays $3.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wauconda Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.1 percent of the $1,711,071 the Wauconda Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wauconda contributed $1,337,000 to the fund, which saw a $41,275 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $364,632, or 21.3 percent, in 2016. Another $9,439 came from other unspecified sources.
