1. Case #18-02 being a petition filed by Tetyana Genega, 1163 Orleans Drive,
Mundelein IL 60060, requesting, pursuant to Article 13 and Article 18, Sections
13.3 and 21.6, of the Vernon Hills Zoning Ordinance, approval of a Special Use
Permit to allow a children’s recreational facility with hourly drop off child care
facilities within an enclosed retail shopping center, to be known as Sofia &
Friends Fun Place. The proposed location is 122 Hawthorn Center Unit 501,
Vernon Hills, Illinois. The Property Index Number for the property is 11-33-401-
086 and it is zoned B-1 General Business District.

2. Case 18-05 being a petition filed by John M. Wright, Opry Glow Golf LLC dba
Glow Golf, 8558 W 21st Ste 400, Wichita, KS 67205 who will be the leasee of
space within the Hawthorn Mall. Pursuant to Appendix C of the Village of
Vernon Hills Code of Ordinance, Article 13, Section 13.3, Articles 18 and 21,
Section 21.3 and 21.6, the petitioner requests approval of a Special Use Permit to
allow for the operation of an entertainment/recreation facility known as Glow
Golf at the Hawthorn Mall property located within the B-1 General Business
District.
The proposed store location is 515 Hawthorn Center in the Hawthorn Mall,
located at the Northwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Route 60, Vernon
Hills, Illinois. The Westfield Hawthorn Mall property index number for the
property is 11-33-401-020.

3. Case #18-04 being a petition filed by the Village of Vernon Hills, pursuant to
Article 21, Section 21.7 of the Vernon Hills Zoning Ordinance, requesting the
following amendments of Appendix C of the Code of Ordinances, being the
Vernon Hills Zoning Ordinance of 1982, as amended from time to time:
1. Amend Article 3, Section 3.2, “Definitions” by adding a new definition,
“Long Term Rental” and adding a new definition, “Short Term Rental”.
2. To amend Article 4 Section 4.7.3, “Home Occupations in Residential Zoning
Districts” by addition of a new section, 4.7.3.15, permitting Long Term
Rentals in Residential Zoning Districts.
3. To amend Article 4 Section 4.7.3, “Home Occupations in Residential Zoning
Districts” by addition of a new section, 4.7.3.16, prohibiting Short Term
Rentals in Residential Zoning Districts.
4. Any other amendments to the Zoning Ordinance deemed necessary and
appropriate by the Board of Trustees as they may relate to the proposed
amendments.
