Report: Round Lake spent $12,681 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Round Lake Community Unit School District 116 is up 26 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $10,094 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,681 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 7274 to 7182.

Round Lake's spending in 2016-17 was 2 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
