Report: Mundelein Consolidated spent $15,200 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Mundelein Consolidated High School District 120 is up 17 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $12,994 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,200 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2185 to 2034.

Mundelein Consolidated's spending in 2016-17 was 17 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
