Report: Grayslake spent $12,841 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Grayslake Community Consolidated School District 46 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $11,565 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,841 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3926 to 3843.

Grayslake's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
