Graduates earn 437 degrees, certificates from Trinity International University-Illinois

About 47.8 percent of the 437 degrees and certificates handed out by the Trinity International University-Illinois in 2016-17 were to students in Theology and Religious Vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Deerfield conferred 131 master's degrees and 39 bachelor's degrees in Theology and Religious Vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Theology/Theological Studies. Data shows the school gave out 51 master's degrees in Theology/Theological Studies, followed by 51 master's degrees in Divinity/Ministry and 29 bachelor's degrees in Religious Education.

The university enrolled 2,114 students for 2016-17, including 881 in undergraduate programs and 1,233 in graduate programs.
