Warren Township Board met May 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor Simpson.

Pledge of Allegiance:

Supervisor Simpson led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call:

Present: Suzanne Simpson, Supervisor; Bill Gill, Trustee, Mike Semmerling, Trustee; Donna Radke, Trustee; and Ken Echtenacher, Trustee.

Hearing Regarding the Warren Township and the Warren Road District Budget and Appropriation Ordinances.

Budget Hearing Town Funds:

Supervisor Simpson opened the hearing to a discussion of proposed Town Budget. After discussion is was agreed to this request. Supervisor Simpson motioned, seconded by Trustee Radke that the hearing be closed. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.

Budget Hearing Road District Funds.

Supervisor Simpson opened the hearing to a discussion of the proposed Road District Budget. There were no additional comments from the audience. Supervisor Simpson motioned, seconded by Trustee Radke that the hearing be closed. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.

Motion to Approve the Agenda:

Trustee Radke motioned. Seconded by Trustee Gill to approve the agenda. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.

Trustee Echtenacher motioned. Seconded by Trustee Semmerling to approve the agenda. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.

Public Comment:

Assessor Mullin informed everyone that the Blue Letters will be coming out this week. Highway Commissioner Sarver announced the wall construction was under way.

Unfinished Business:

None

Supervisor's Report:

A. Supervisor Simpson informed the Board we have been informed we must need permits to show movies at both the Center and the Teen centers. Anticipated costs are $300 for seniors and $800 for the teen centers.

B. Supervisor Simpson next informed the Board she had received a call from Mary Ellen Tamasy stating that HUD had rejected the Lake County Development Corporation's bid for the 799 Delaney property citing financial concerns despite support from Federal, State and local funds as well as private funding.

Treasurer's Report. Trustee Gill motioned, seconded by Trustee Semmerling to approve the Treasurer's Report as presented. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote.

New Business:

A. Pay Bills. Trustee Echtenacher motioned, seconded by Trustee Semmerling to pay the bills as presented plus an additional bill from the N. Illinois Foodbank. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote.

B. 2017 Property & Causality Insurance Program. Resolution NO. 2018-R-16. A Resolution authorizing approval of the Warren Township FY 2018 Property & Causality Insurance Program. Administrator Johnson informed the Board anticipated premium increase would be less than 3%. Trustee Radke motioned, seconded by Trustee Gill to approve the resolution. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote.

C. Adopt Town Budget - Ordinance NO. 2018-0-02. Supervisor Simpson motioned, seconded by Trustee Echtenacher to approve the ordinance as presented. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote.

D. Adopt road district Budget - Ordinance NO. 2018-0-01. Supervisor Simpson motioned, seconded by Trustee Radke to approve the ordinance as presented. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote.

Adjournment:

There being no further business, Trustee Radke motioned, seconded by Trustee Gill to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 pm. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote. Next scheduled meeting is Monday, June 11, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
