Fox Lake Fire Stationation # 2 responded to 296 calls in 2017 - 7.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Fox Lake # 2 included 110 fires - 73 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 27 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $988,350 in fire loss - or about $8,985 per fire.

The department also received 184 false calls, including three malicious calls and 181 other false calls.
