VILLAGE OF MUNDELEIN: 2018 Mundelein Pageants Winners Announced

Village of Mundelein issued the following announcement on June 29.

The Mundelein Community Days Commission is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Miss Mundelein Pageant. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for representing Mundelein!

Little Miss Mundelein (Ages 6-8) Sofia Cabachuela

Junior Miss Mundelein (Ages 11-13) Victoria Weaver, Junior

Miss Mundelein (Ages 16-21) Kimberly Barr

Sofia also won a trophy for “Prettiest Hair” and Kimberly won a trophy for “Sweetest Smile.”

Little Miss - First Runner-Up: Kennedy Gallagher, who also won for Best Model,

Second Runner-Up: Arianna Atilano who also won Miss Congeniality

Junior Miss - First Runner-Up is Celeste Cortes who also won a trophy for Best Model, and

Second Runner-Up is Addie Biegal, who also won Miss Congeniality

For the Miss - 1st Runner Up is Anna Henning, who also won Miss Congeniality (there was no 2nd Runner Up, just so you know).

The Miss Mundelein Pageants is the kick-off event to Mundelein Community Days and it is open to all young ladies who reside in Mundelein or in unincorporated Fremont Township-Zip Code 60060. Pageant winners received cash prizes of $500, or a $1,000 college scholarship, for Miss Mundelein, $350 for Junior Miss Mundelein, and $250 for Little Miss Mundelein will be awarded. All three queens received a crown, banners, trophies, and other gifts as well.

“The pageant is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Mundelein Community Days celebration while developing stage presence, communications skills and, especially for the older contestants, interview skills,” said Pageant Director, Betty Hurmis.
