Fremont School District 79 issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Fremont School District 79 has been recognized by LEAP Innovations as a School Team Award recipient for the upcoming 2018 Innovation in Education Awards.
The recognition coincides with the third-annual LEAP InnovatED Summit to be held Tuesday, Aug. 28 in Chicago.
Fremont School District 79 has earned the honor for its work at the elementary and intermediate school level where administrators and teachers explore personalized learning in the classroom. The district is about to enter its third year of partnering with LEAP.
“Fremont School District 79 is proud to accept this honor from LEAP Innovations,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Robertson said. “LEAP is a leading organization in providing a framework for personalized learning. Our teachers and administrators have been impressed by their methods for meeting the important specific needs of individual learners. We already have seen the benefits of their practices in our classrooms and with our students.”
