Village of Cary Committee of the Whole met Aug. 7.

Present: Mayor Kownick and Trustees Weinhammer, Betz, Kraus, McAlpine and Cosler
Absent: Trustee Covelli
Others present included Village Administrator Rife, Community Development Director Simmons, Village Attorney Uhler and members of the audience per the sign-in sheet.
III. Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Kownick led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
IV. Public Comments
There being no comments from the public, Mayor Kownick closed Public Comments at 6:39 p.m.
V. Public Hearing - Consider for Approval a Variance to Allow a Fence within an Exterior Side Yard for the Property Located at 320 Ann Street
Discussion Director Simmons provided an overview of the proposed variance.
It was the consensus of the Committee of the Whole to forward on to the August 21, 2018 Village Board Meeting the consideration of a variance to allow a fence within an exterior side yard for the property located at 320 Ann Street.
VI. Public Hearing - Consider for Approval a Variance to Allow a Fence within an Exterior Side Yard for the Property Located at 1048 Cimarron Drive
Discussion Director Simmons provided an overview of the proposed variance.
It was the consensus of the Committee of the Whole to forward on to the August 21, 2018 Village Board Meeting the consideration of a variance to allow a fence within an exterior side yard for the property located at 1048 Cimarron Drive.
VII. Executive Session: Litigation: Pending or Imminent 5ILCS 120/2(c)(11)
Mayor Kownick entertained a motion to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing
Litigation: Pending, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11).
Motion: Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Cosler to adjourn into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Litigation: Pending or Imminent, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11).
Ayes: All ayes by voice vote
Nays: None
Motion Carried.
Mayor Kownick and Trustees Weinhammer, Betz, Kraus, McAlpine and Cosler entered into Executive Session at 6:45 p.m. Others present included Village Administrator Rife, Community Development Director Simmons and Village Attorney Scott Uhler.
After discussion, Mayor Kownick entertained a motion to exit Executive Session.
Motion: Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Kraus to exit Executive Session at 6:56 p.m.
Ayes: All ayes by voice vote
Nays: None
Motion Carried.
