Village of Cary Committee of the Whole met October 16.

Village of Cary Committee of the Whole met Oct. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

I. Call to Order

This meeting was called to order at 6:47 p.m. by Mayor Kownick.

II. Roll Call

Present: Mayor Kownick and Trustees Covelli, Weinhammer, Betz, Kraus McAlpine and Cosler Absent: None

Others present included Village Administrator Rife, Community Development Director Simmons, Chief Finlon, Management Analyst Sage, Village Attorney Uhler and members of the audience per the sign-in sheet.

III. Pledge of Allegiance

Mayor Kownick led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

IV. Public Comments

There being no comments from the public, Mayor Kownick closed Public Comments at 6:48 p.m.

V. Discussion on Donation Ordinance

Administrator Rife provided an overview of the proposed ordinance.

Trustee Cosler suggested information regarding donations could be put on the Village website.

Trustee Cosler asked if a definition for anonymous was needed or if reference to an anonymous donation should be in the ordinance. Administrator Rife proposed a modification to the ordinance that could be considered by the Village Board at the November 6, 2018 Village Board meeting.

It was the consensus of the Committee of the Whole to forward on to the November 6, 2018 Village Board Meeting the consideration of the Donation Ordinance.

VI. Executive Session:

Litigation: Pending or imminent 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) Setting the price for Sale of Village Property 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(6)

Mayor Kownick entertained a motion to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Litigation: Pending or Imminent, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) and Setting the price for Sale of Village Property, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(6).

Motion:

Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Weinhammer to adjourn into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Litigation, Pending or Imminent, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) and Setting the price for Sale of Village Property, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(6).

Ayes: Nays:

All ayes by voice vote None

Motion Carried.

Mayor Kownick and Trustees Covelli, Weinhammer, Betz, Kraus, McAlpine and Cosler entered into Executive Session at 6:58 p.m. Others present included Village Administrator Rife, Director Simmons and Village Attorneys Scott Uhler and Mallory Milluzzi.

After discussion, Mayor Kownick entertained a motion to exit Executive Session.

Trustee Kraus moved, seconded by Trustee Weinhammer to exit Executive Session at 7:11 p.m.

Ayes: Nays:

All ayes by voice vote None

Motion Carried.

VII. Adjourn

There being no further items to discuss, a MOTION was made to adjourn the meeting at 7:11 p.m.

MOTION: Trustee Cosler SECOND: Trustee Kraus

The Voice Vote noted all ayes and the motion carried.
