Report: Round Lake spent $13,025 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Round Lake Community Unit School District 116 is up 21.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $10,683 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,025 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 7276 to 6948.

Round Lake's spending in 2017-18 was 2.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
