Report: Big Hollow spent $9,165 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Big Hollow School District 38 is down 0.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,187 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,165 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1816 to 1754.

Big Hollow's spending in 2017-18 was 31.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
