VILLAGE OF MUNDELEIN: Mundelein School District 75 to Host Community Blood Drive on Feb 19

Village of Mundelein issued the following announcement on Feb. 8.

Mundelein School District 75 is hosting a Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, February 19 and Mundelein residents are encourage to participate. The event will take place from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the District 75 office located at 470 N. Lake St. All donors will receive a limited edition pair of “R U MY Type” socks as a thank you gift giving the gift of life—while supplies last.

The community blood drive is being held in honor of Kristen Meister, who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in August 2018. In late November, 2018, Kristen’s CT scans showed that her cancer was gone to minimally visible in just three months.

“District 75 is thrilled to have Kristen back and we want to honor her and other teachers who have had serious health issues this past year through this blood drive,” the school stated in a press release.
