The data shows that 52 men and three women were released in the Zion zip code. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2018.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eugene Henderson. He was convicted of homicide in 2013, when he was 34 years old. He is now 40.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
