Illinois State House District 64 issued the following announcement on July 12
State Representatives Steve Reick (R-Woodstock) and Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa), in collaboration with AMS Store & Shred and the McHenry Township Food Pantry, are hosting a free document shredding event and food collection drive on Saturday, July 20. Paper documents will be collected for destruction and nonperishable food items for the food pantry will be collected. Informational brochures on state and local programs will also be available.
The event is free to attend and open to all residents of the 63rd and 64th House Districts. While donations of nonperishable food items to the McHenry Township Food Pantry are not required for document shredding, they are encouraged.
Document shredding is limited to TWO bags or banker box sized boxes per vehicle. Documents will NOT be shredded on site, but will be collected in sealed bins and taken to AMS Store & Shred’s facility for complete destruction. An official certificate of destruction will be provided to each vehicle upon collection.
