City of Highwood City Council met Aug. 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

1. Roll Call

Present: Mayor Pecaro

Aldermen: Falberg, Fiore, Levi, Slavin

Absent: Hospodarsky, Peterson

Also Present: City Manager Coren, City Attorney Jablecki, Assistant City Manager Martin (acting as recording secretary), and Administrative Assistant Litjens.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved

3.1. Moved by Alderman Fiore seconded by Alderman Levi to approve the City Council August 6, 2019 minutes as presented. All present voting aye, by voice vote, the motion carried.

3.2. Moved by Alderman Levi seconded by Alderman Fiore to approve the Committee of the Whole August 6, 2019 minutes as presented. All present voting aye, by voice vote, the motion carried.

4. Appointments (Mayor Pecaro) - None

5. Approval of Warrant List:

5.1. 08/20/2019 AP Warrant List - Moved by Alderman Fiore seconded by Alderman Slavin to approve the 08/20/2019 AP Warrant List as presented. On a roll call vote the motion was approved:

7. Mayor’s Report

7.1. Moved by Alderman Slavin seconded by Alderman Levi to approve A Proclamation Announcing Highwood Design Week as presented. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried.

9.1. Moved by Alderman Fiore seconded by Alderman Levi to approve the June 2019 Treasurers Report as presented. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried.

12.1. Ordinance 19-O-12: Moved by Alderman Falberg seconded by Aldermen Fiore Approving an Ordinance Granting a Special Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development and Approving a Preliminary Plat for Planned Unit Development at 546 Green Bay Road. This item was discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting August 20, 2019. On a roll call vote the motion was approved:

12.2. Ordinance 19-O-13: Moved by Alderman Falberg seconded by Aldermen Levi Approving an Ordinance Approving Certain Amendments to the Highwood Zoning Ordinance and Corresponding Map Amendment Related Thereto for the Rezoning of Certain Properties fromR-4 Residential District (Multi-Family), R-3 Residential District (Duplex Dwelling), R-1 (Single Family-2 Acres), B-3 (Business Low Intensity) to R-2 Residential District (7,260 Square Feet, Single Family). This item was discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting August 20, 2019. On a roll call vote the motion was approved:

12.3. Ordinance 19-O-14: Moved by Alderman Slavin seconded by Aldermen Fiore Approving an Amending Section 3-10-2 of the Highwood City Code to Provide for an Increase in the Vehicle Fuel Tax from $.05 to $.08 per Gallon. This item was discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting August 20, 2019. On a roll call vote the motion was approved:
