City of Highland Park City Council met September 26. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the council:

The City of Park City held a continuation of the regular Council meeting for September 19th, 2019 on September 26th, 2019 at City Hall, 3355 Belvidere Road, Park City, Illinois. Mayor Steve Pannell called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.


Pledge of Allegiance was recited

ROLL CALL – City Clerk Dirzo

Present: Aldermen Telle, Dennis, Hart, Eaker

In Attendance: City Attorney Peter Karlovics, City Clerk Dirzo

Absent: Chief of Police Holderbaum, Alderman Bibian, Mayor Steve Pannell

It was motioned by Alderman Eaker and seconded by Alderman Telle to appoint Alderman Dennis as Mayor Pro Temp.

Alderman Ortega joined the Council Meeting at 7:09PM

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:

Gabriel Weisen - Presentation by Element 7, presenting the business model for their recreational cannabis storefront.

NEW BUSINESS:

Discussion and Possible Approval of AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A MUNICIPAL CANNABIS RETAILERS’ OCCUPATION TAX FOR THE CITY OF PARK CITY, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS (Ordinance No. 2019-O-12)

It was motioned by Alderman Eaker and seconded by Alderman Hart to APPROVE Ordinance No. 2019-O-12.

Ayes: 4 Aldermen: Telle, Ortega, Hart, Eaker

Nays: 0

Motion Passed

MAYOR’S REPORTS AND APPOINTMENTS: All appointments are for 1 year unless stated otherwise.

ADJOURN:

It was motioned by Alderman Eaker and seconded by Alderman Hart to adjourn the regular council meeting at 7:27 PM

Ayes: 4 Aldermen: Telle, Ortega, Hart, Eaker

Nays: 0
