City of Highland Park issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
The City of Highland Park will hold its Veterans Day Observance on Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11 AM The event takes place at the Highland Park Public Library, 494 Laurel Avenue in the Adult Services Room. Representatives from the American Legion Post #145, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4737 and Jewish War Veterans #29 will be present. Mayor Nancy Rotering and other special guests will speak. The Highland Park High School Brass Quintet will perform patriotic music. All are welcome.
Administrative offices and the Senior Center will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2019, in observance of Veterans Day. Garbage and recycling pick-up will not be affected. If you need assistance, please contact the Highland Park Police Department at 847.432.7730.
