Analysis: Libertyville pays $5.26 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Libertyville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84 percent of the $2,400,065 the Libertyville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.26 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Libertyville contributed $2,016,850 to the fund, which saw a $282,179 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $383,216, or 16 percent, in 2018.
