Analysis: Round Lake pays $2.73 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Greater Round Lake FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.3 percent of the $1,195,291 the Greater Round Lake FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.73 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Round Lake contributed $864,480 to the fund, which saw a $97,354 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $316,499, or 26.5 percent, in 2018. Another $14,312 came from other unspecified sources.
