Analysis: Grayslake pays $2.77 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Grayslake FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.1 percent of the $1,128,413 the Grayslake FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.77 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Grayslake contributed $802,384 to the fund, which saw a $130,926 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $289,037, or 25.6 percent, in 2018. Another $36,992 came from other unspecified sources.
