COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 117: Do schools spread COVID? It may depend on how bad things already are around them

Community High School District 117 issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

Opening school buildings doesn’t increase the spread of COVID-19 in places where cases of hospitalizations from the virus are rare, according to two new studies, Matt Barnum, of Chalkbeat.com, writes. Read his full story here.

Community High School District 117 is committed to doing what is best for our staff, students, and families in our communities. Our staff continues to serve our learning community and our Superintendent, Dr. McKay, is constantly looking to the science and data of this pandemic to ensure a safe return to our buildings.
