MUNDELEIN PARK DISTRICT: Launches Improved Website

Website

Mundelein Park District issued the following announcement on May 11.

Mundelein Park & Recreation District debuted its new website with a fresh look on Friday, May 7. The new site is designed for improved functionality and ease of use on mobile. In the works for over a year, staff, led by Marketing Manager Christa Lawrence, selected Weblinx, Inc, an Illinois design studio to create the new website. A major goal was to improve the customer experience when navigating the website on not only desktop, but mobile as well.

“Our old site had become cumbersome to use, especially on mobile,” said Lawrence. “Our goal was to enhance user experience on every device and make things simpler to find. We structured the sitemap to make pages that are most frequently searched available from the home page, and added dynamic schedules for fitness classes and the indoor pool. The colorful design reflects the fun and excitement we offer at Mundelein Park & Recreation District.”

The new website features information about the Districts programs, fitness, aquatics, rentals parks and facilities and golf. Users can easily choose what language they want to view the website and a custom search function makes browsing and locating the site’s content fast and simple. An interactive park map shows the locations of Mundelein Park & Recreation District’s many parks with easy access to directions and park amenities.

“With this new website we can really connect our community to the many programs and facilities we have to offer,” said Ron Salski, Executive Director of Mundelein Park & Recreation District. “With people getting outside more and recreating, this couldn’t have come at a better time.”
