Ace Hardware Home Center to give away American flags

Ace Hardware Home Center will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Illinois lost 1,436 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,854 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 659 Railroad Ave, Round Lake will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Ronald Hill Memorial Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace Hardware Home Center while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Ace Hardware Home Center is located at 659 Railroad Ave, Round Lake, Illinois. This location is owned by Richard Laskowski Sr, represented by Paul Swatek and managed by Al Viramontes.
