Women Take their Turn at the Aurora Grand Prix on Saturday
Members of the Forester women's track team competed at the Aurora Grand Prix on Saturday.
Freshman AJ Jones led the Lake Forest sprinters with team record performances in the 60m (8.23 seconds) and 200m (27.51). Fellow freshman Evie Stamatis was next on the squad in both events. Her time of 8.88 seconds in the 60m ranks her fourth in the program's short history and her 30.17 in the 200m is fifth.
Jacquelyn Han, another freshman, finished just behind Stamatis in the 200m and added clockings of 11.12 in the 60m hurdles and 1:08.05 in the 400m.
In the distance events junior Becca Ray's 800m time of 2:54.08 was the Foresters' best and sophomore Delfina Jorgensen led Lake Forest in the mile in 6:10.97.
The Foresters will travel to Ripon College next Saturday for the Red Hawk Invite.
