College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2022-23 Academic All-District® Teams for men's basketball on Tuesday and a pair of Foresters made the list.

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must be starters or important reserves and have played in at least half of the team's contests at their position. They must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Lake Forest's honorees were seniors Johnny Roeser and Frank Siegien.

Roeser is a business major with a marketing concentration who averaged 13.2 points and a Midwest Conference-best 9.8 rebounds per game. The forward posted nine double-doubles, raising his career total in that category to 22, and also led the team with 25 blocked shots. The 2021-22 MWC Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-MWC selection was also an Academic All-MWC honoree and a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.

Siegien, who is also majoring in business, averaged 9.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2022-23. The forward finished his career ranked sixth in program history with a .559 field goal percentage over the last four seasons. He earned Academic All-MWC honors as a freshman and junior and was named to the NABC Honors Court last year.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on March 14.
