Students from Coal City Middle School attended the annual Eighth Grade Career Fair on October 28. The event was organized by the Community Foundation of Grundy County and the Grundy Area Vocational Center (GAVC). Students from across Grundy County participated, meeting with representatives from a range of businesses, trade groups, educational institutions, and government agencies to learn about potential career paths after high school.

Coal City Middle School is part of Coal City Community Unit School District 1, which serves both Grundy and Will counties. The district also includes Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City High School, and Coal City Intermediate School.
