Antioch Mayor Scott J. Gartner has announced the Antioch Village Ghost Tours for the Halloween season. In a news release on Sept. 22, Mayor Gartner revealed the dates for this year's events and provided a link for more information and ticket purchases.

"Finally, it’s almost Halloween time! I invite you to participate in this year’s Downtown Antioch Ghost Tours," said Mayor Gartner. The tours will take place next month on the evenings of October 14th and 21st.

Interested individuals can find more information or purchase tickets at the provided link: [link](https://secure.rec1.com/IL/village-of-antioch/catalog/index/89c5061255d2c322bd3879fe8cd1960f?filter=c2VhcmNoPWdob3N0&fbclid=IwAR33-lQriXJYfW0j9da665IIALr--9OrZGJswGanBXqDpWsiXFqV6Xh2gRw). The event will occur four times each evening, with the first walk starting at 7 p.m. and the last beginning at 8:30 p.m. Each guided walking tour will last for an hour, and guests will receive a drink with their $30 ticket.

In the news release, the Village of Antioch provided additional details about the event. Participants will have the opportunity to hear stories about the "strange sights, sounds, and activities" discovered by experts during their research. The registration will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. presentation from the U.S. Paranormal Research organization.

The tours will be led by Bryan Meisinger and his wife Kay, who have collected a lot of evidence from each location on the tour. Bryan Meisinger stated, "We’ll share great evidence, including audio of disembodied voices that we were able to record during our investigations. Also, we’ll share a couple of great pieces of video, including one unexplainable video from the basement of The Lodge!"

U.S. Paranormal Research, created by the Meisingers in 2014, investigates locations throughout Wisconsin and Illinois to "assist those with questions of the unexplainable." Their investigation process includes discovery, where individuals concerned about the unexplained speak with case managers and historians learning about the property. The next step is to set up an investigation, followed by a debrief where the team reviews the evidence collected and shares their findings with the client.

As part of the Antioch Village Ghost Tours, there will also be a free movie showing of "Paranormal Island" at Antioch Theater at 10:45 p.m. The movie was filmed at Blarney Island.

This Halloween season, residents and visitors of Antioch are invited to join the Downtown Antioch Ghost Tours for an evening of spooky stories and paranormal investigations. Don't miss out on this thrilling experience!
