The Village of Mundelein will hold its Holiday Tree Lighting and Fireworks Show from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1 at Mundelein Village Hall.
"The Village will host the show with the Mundelein Park & Recreation District", according to a Facebook event post by the Village of Mundelein.
In another paragraph, "Train rides will be available for free for children, who can also meet and greet Disney princesses Belle and Cinderella," said the same Facebook post by the Village of Mundelein. It added that as families wait for Santa's arrival, they can enjoy complimentary cookies, hot chocolate, and popcorn while supplies last. Pizza will also be available for purchase.
Mundelein Community Connection announced in a release that it will present Santa's Cottage starting on Dec. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Plaza Circle. The cottage will also be open on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 12:15 p.m.-3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 16 from noon to 3 p.m.
In addition to this, "The community organization also will present its Winterfest with carolers, prince characters, train rides, shoot the puck game, and more games, all free of charge," according to a release by Mundelein Community Connection. Food trucks will be on-site at 300 Plaza Circle during Winterfest which is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
