The enchanting festivities of the 39th Annual Lake Forest Tree Lighting Holiday Celebration will once again transform historic Market Square into a winter wonderland on Friday, Nov. 24.
This cherished Lake Forest tradition promises an afternoon and evening filled with joy, music, and merriment for the whole family.

“The event will happen from 3-6 pm at Market Square. Enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music, kids activities, food and beverages, carolers, Lake Forest Dance Academy dancers,
Santa Claus, and more at this beloved Lake Forest tradition.”
The celebration kicks off at 1:00 pm with a screening of the holiday classic "Home Alone" at the Gorton Community Center, setting the festive mood for the day.
The Kids Activities Area, starting at 3:00 pm, offers delightful experiences for the little ones, including cookie decorating courtesy of Lake Forest Bank and Trust, arts and crafts activities by Sage Explorers, and a sweet treat station with donuts and coffee provided by the Oertel Group.
Santa Claus himself will be available for visits from 3:15 to 6 pm, ready to listen to the wishes of children and spread holiday cheer. The enchanting sounds of the Lake Forest Civic Orchestra and Lake Forest High School Festival Brass Ensemble will fill the air from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm, creating a festive ambiance.
As the evening progresses, the Lake Forest High School Choristers will lead a heartwarming caroling concert at 4:40 pm, followed by a captivating performance by the Lake Forest Dance Academy at 5 pm. The culmination of the event will be the mesmerizing tree lighting ceremony, set to illuminate Market Square at just after 5:00 pm.
The celebration continues with holiday music until 6 p.m.
