State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) is teaming up with the Johnsburg Public Library and Versiti to host a Season of Giving Blood Drive. The event, which will also be collecting non-perishable food items to support local food pantries, aims to make a positive impact in the community during the holiday season.
Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 6, from 2 to 6 p.m., the blood drive will be held at the Johnsburg Public Library. The Versiti mobile blood drive bus will be stationed in the library parking lot to accommodate prospective donors. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins will also be accepted if capacity allows.
Representative Weber encourages everyone to participate in this life-saving initiative, stating, "Hop on the Jingle Bus to save lives by donating blood this holiday season!" The event presents an opportunity for individuals to give back to the community and potentially help those in need.
To ensure a successful donation, it is recommended that donors eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water prior to their appointment. Additionally, a photo ID is required for identification purposes.
For those interested in participating or seeking more information, Rep. Weber's office can be contacted at 847-629-5439. In order to schedule an appointment, individuals can visit the website at https://bit.ly/3QzYFzn.
