A robbery incident was reported at the BMO Bank in Buffalo Grove on Thursday afternoon, with one suspect allegedly fleeing the scene.
According to a news release from the Village of Buffalo Grove, local police responded to a call at 3:23 p.m. regarding a bank robbery at the establishment located at 500 W. Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove.
The FBI's Chicago office shared details with the Lake County Gazette stating that a male suspect had presented a demand note and implied possession of a handgun. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene before police arrived, as stated in another news release from the Village of Buffalo Grove.
The FBI Chicago office encouraged public reporting of any relevant tips, which can be done anonymously through 312-421-6700 or tips.fbi.gov.
In their description of the suspect, the FBI Chicago office characterized him as a white male aged between 30 and 40 years old. He is approximately six feet tall and weighs around 180 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a long-sleeved black jacket, baseball cap, dark pants, and white sneakers. He also has facial hair and acne scars on his face.
