Chicago Morning Answer radio show host Dan Proft said that the status of high ranking schools and universities is declining in importance, partially due to the availability of quality education online.
“I think some of the luster is off the status schools, I think more and more people are having that conversation.” Proft told host Jansons on the Lake Forest podcast. “You’re starting to see more and more big companies relax their BA/BS requirements as a threshold you’d have to clear to even be considered for a job.”
“Khan Academy and these other online portals that have great academic offerings,” Proft said. “You could get as good of an education online as at a Big Ten school.”
