The Lure of the Local exhibition featuring local creators returns starting Sept. 13 in Mundelein's Archer Business Center. | Village of Mundelein
Lure of the Local, the Mundelein Arts Commission's third annual exhibition featuring local creators, returns at a new location in the Archer Business Center. The exhibition opens on Sept. 13.
According to a Mundelein Arts Commission Facebook post, the new location is in the same building as Tighthead Brewing Co., at 165 N. Archer Avenue. The theme is Color Wheel, with local artists invited to consider themselves in relation to color. Family-friendly activities and live music will be hosted every weekend for the show's duration. The show will remain open every Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The opening reception will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, according to a Mundelein Arts Commission Facebook post. Live music, food and drinks from local businesses, and an interactive art installation will be featured.
The Mundelein Arts Commission founded the Lure of the Local annual art exhibition in 2022 to showcase local talent by artists who are local teachers, friends, and neighbors, according to a Mundelein Arts Commission Facebook post.
