Summer Shakespeare Shorts | Mundelein Arts Commission
The Park Street stage in Mundelein will host Summer Shakespeare Shorts performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" this weekend. Ten teens will play all the parts.
According to a Mundelein news release, the abridged version of Shakespeare's play will include all the frolicking, ribaldry, and reveling. Show times are Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
The show will be performed at 22 East Park, the new public park next to AREA Coffee. In the event of rain, performances will relocate to Fremont Township Office at 22385 West Route 60, near the intersection of Route 60 and Fremont Center Road.
Park Street Restaurant will donate free appetizers for the audience after each performance. Those who want to watch the show should bring chairs or blankets, as the park has limited seating. Entry and parking are free of charge. The house opens to seating 30 minutes before each showtime.
