Residents of the Village of Libertyville are being notified about a temporary interruption in their Lake Michigan drinking water supply. The Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA), which provides water to the village, will stop service for scheduled maintenance starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, October 6.

During this period, the village will use stored water and well water to ensure that customers continue to have access to an adequate supply. According to the announcement, "A slight taste and odor difference may be noticed when the well water is blended with the Lake Michigan water. The well water meets all IEPA standards for drinking water." The disruption is expected to last between four and six hours.

The village assures residents that all measures are being taken to maintain safe and reliable drinking water during this planned outage.
