City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met Sept. 3

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:02 P.M.

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Slavin (6:26 P.M.), Falberg (6:16P.M.) Fiore, Peterson and Hospodarsky

Absent: Alderman Levi

Also Present: City Manager Coren, City Attorney Jablecki and Administrative Assistant Litjens

2. Public Hearing

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved

3.1. City Council: August 06, 2024

3.2. Committee of the Whole: August 06, 2024

Minutes will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.

4. Appointments

4.1. Chris Meter – Board of Fire and Police Commission

4.2. Chris Meter – Police Pension Board

Appointments will be made at the regular City Council meeting.

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 08/20/2024 AP Warrant List

5.2. 09/03/2024 AP Warrant List

Warrant Lists will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

6. Unfinished Business

7. New Business

7.1 Consideration of an Ordinance Amending Section 4-1-7: Classification of Licenses in the Highwood City Code to Add a Class A Liquor License. Alderman Falberg recused himself from discussion. This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.2 Consideration of a Resolution Approving an ARC Application, with the Condition of the Removal of the Existing Pole Sign, for a Canopy with Two (2) Street Facing Digital LED Price Cabinets and Dispenser Branding Decals for the Conversion of the Citgo, Located at 104 Washington Avenue, to a BP. This will be approved, with the condition of the removal of the pole sign, at the regular City Council meeting.

7.3 Consideration of a Motion Authorizing the Police Chief to Execute a Reciprocal Reporting System Agreement with District 112 Related to Access to School District Security Cameras.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.4 Consideration of an Ordinance Regulating Camping Within Corporate Boundaries and Other Actions in Connection Therewith for the City of Highwood. This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

8. Executive Session (If Necessary) moved by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Hospodarsky to enter Executive Session under Section 2-C-1. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 7:05 P.M.

9. Any Action Necessary Coming Out of Executive Session

Moved by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Peterson to reconvene the Committee of the Whole meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 7:29 P.M.

10. Adjournment moved by Alderman Fiore and seconded by Alderman Slavin to adjourn the meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:29 P.M.
