FOIA Request to Grayslake Police Department Regarding Comprehensive Arrest Records on December 12, 2024.
In our continuous efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in local governmental affairs, we at the Lake County Gazette have submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) to the Grayslake Police Department. The request, sent on December 12, 2024, seeks access to arrest records from January 1, 2018, up until the present day.
The requested information includes details such as the arrestee's name, date of arrest, gender, race, date of birth and the crime committed. We believe that this data is essential for comprehensive and accurate news coverage regarding law enforcement activities in our community.
