FOIA Request Sent to Park City Police Department Regarding Arrest Records from 2018 to Present on December 12, 2024

FOIA Request to Park City Police Department Regarding Arrest Records from 2018 to Present on December 12, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Lake County Gazette have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Park City Police Department in Illinois.

Our request is for a list of all arrests made by the department from January 1, 2018, until the present date. The information we are seeking includes: arrestee name, arrest date, arrestee gender, arrestee race, arrestee's date of birth, and the crime committed.

As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to these records is crucial for us. We believe that we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals given our role in disseminating this information.

We will continue to keep you updated on any developments regarding this request.
