Families Learning Together will host an engaging discussion with journalist and author Adam Chandler on the realities of work, ambition, and success in America. The event is scheduled for March 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. and will take place via Zoom.

Chandler, a former staff writer at The Atlantic, challenges the widely held belief that success is solely a product of individual determination and hard work. Through in-depth interviews with educators, civic leaders, elected officials, faith leaders, blue-collar workers, and entrepreneurs across the United States, he argues that self-reliance is insufficient. Instead, human achievement is deeply rooted in social connections and community support.

"What if success isn’t just about perseverance but about the networks that shape us?" said Chandler.

The discussion aims to explore the true nature of the American Dream by examining how social connections contribute to individual success.

Registration details for the Zoom event will be announced soon.
