The Coal City High School girls tennis team faced Joliet Catholic Academy on Monday, resulting in a 7-0 loss for the Coalers. Singles players for Coal City were Rebecca Hall, Kyla Kohler, and Lanie Winke. In doubles play, Camryn Planeta paired with Kyla Kohler, Kamryn Hansen teamed up with Bridget Feeney, Olivia Weatherbee partnered with Kayla Stalter, and Mackenzie Lovell played alongside Aubrey Jensen.
The team's next varsity match is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, when they will host Plainfield Central. The junior varsity squad will travel to Plainfield Central for their contest. Both matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
