Winfield District Updates Approvals For Upcoming School Year

The Winfield 34 Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Thursday, January 30th. During the session, the Board recognized Brianna Garcia and Vanessa Krygowski as students of the month. Discussions at the meeting covered a range of topics, including the Capital Plan, School Lunches and the Northern Illinois Independent Purchasing Cooperative, TIF 2, and the Crowe Report analyzing the Village of Winfield's Budget and fund balances.

The Board approved various fees for the 2025-26 school year, such as registration fees, activity & athletic fees, and building usage fees. Additionally, they approved a change order to the video security system and confirmed new employment positions: Mark Melsa as Boys Volleyball coach and Delia Campos & Leidy Vaca-Moreno as part-time kitchen managers.

Chicago Wolves Game

Families are invited to join Family Fun Day at a Chicago Wolves game on Sunday, March 16, at 3:00 p.m.. Tickets are available at a discounted group rate of $25 for 100-Level Center Ice seats (normally $32), with an optional hot dog/soda voucher for $6.75. All attendees will be seated in the same section and receive a Wolves knit hat. Ticket orders must be submitted by Friday, February 28. Cooks Night Out

Jersey Mike’s in Wheaton (2115 W. Roosevelt) is hosting Cooks Night Out from Wednesday, February 26 through Friday, February 28, between 10 a.m.-9 p.m.. Customers can support our school by dropping their receipts into the fundraiser box; Jersey Mike’s will donate 15% of sales back to our school.

Seeking Tiger Run Sponsors

The Board is seeking sponsors for this year's Tiger Run fundraiser.

RMHC Pop Tab Recycling Program

The RMHC Pop Tab Recycling Program supports local Ronald McDonald Houses that provide accommodations for families with hospitalized children.

Staff Soup and Salad Lunch

On Monday past donations were collected for a Soup and Salad lunch provided to teachers which received many thanks from staff members.
