Coal City High School is highlighting various scholarships available to graduating seniors. This year, the featured scholarships include those from the Coal City High School Student Council, Dennis Neary Memorial, Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association, CCUEA Teachers, Kessler-Wharrie Memorial, Suzanne Cassani Memorial, Touchdown Club, Constellation Energy, Coal City Athletic Boosters, Amiee Gerhardt and Donald L. Pfeifer Memorial.
The Coal City High School Student Council offers two $250 scholarships to seniors who have demonstrated leadership and scholastic ability and are of good character. Applications are due April 22.
The Dennis M. Neary Memorial Scholarship is presented by the Coal City Police Department to a senior enrolling in higher education with a focus on criminal justice. Applications are due April 18.
The Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association will award $2,000 in scholarships to students attending college full-time in programs related to criminal justice or law enforcement. Completed applications are due by April 18.
The Coal City Community Unit Education Association (CCUEA) offers up to $500 annually for seniors or alumni enrolled in teaching certificate programs. Applications are due April 22.
The Kessler-Wharrie Memorial Scholarship supports individuals pursuing careers in trades such as automotive and construction. Selection is based on moral character and passion for the field. Applications are due by April 22.
In memory of Suzanne Cassani, a $500 scholarship assists seniors entering the medical field. Applications are due April 22.
The Coal City Touchdown Club offers two $500 scholarships for senior football players enrolling full-time in college or trade schools. Scholarship applications are due April 24.
The Aimee Gerhardt Memorial Scholarship awards up to two $1,000 scholarships based on leadership qualities and community service commitment. Submissions are due by April 30.
