District 113 has initiated a strategic planning process aimed at shaping its direction for the next five years. A team comprising students, parents, teachers, staff, community members, and administrators is working on drafting a plan to be presented to the Board of Education.

The district seeks feedback from stakeholders to ensure the strategic plan reflects their thoughts and opinions. The draft SWOT analysis—covering strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats—has been created from a detailed review of district data. Stakeholders are encouraged to provide input on what resonates or needs clarification.

Feedback can be given through an online survey or by attending in-person focus groups. The survey is open until 5:00 p.m., March 12, with no personal information collected.

Four in-person focus group sessions will take place on March 10 and March 11 at Highland Park High School Library and Deerfield High School Library respectively. Each session is limited to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis via registration.

Dr. Chala Holland, Superintendent of Schools, encourages participation in these sessions to help define goals and objectives for District 113's future.
