Sing Me a Story, an organization that creates music inspired by the stories of children in need, has partnered with the Lake Forest Choir to provide a special experience for a six-year-old with a rare form of epilepsy.

The project centers around Anna, a first grader at Sheridan Elementary diagnosed with Dravet syndrome in 2018. This rare and severe form of epilepsy is characterized by prolonged seizures often triggered by fever or heat.

Due to Anna's nonverbal condition, her younger sister Lily, a kindergartner at Sheridan Elementary, was invited to participate. Lily wrote and illustrated a story titled "Anna and Lily's Story," which follows their family on a butterfly adventure.

Professional composer David Hamilton, an alumnus of Lake Forest High School (LFHS), transformed Lily's story into a musical piece for the LFHS Choir.

On March 17 at 7:30 pm at 1285 N McKinley Rd Lake Forest, IL 60045, the Lake Forest High School Choir will perform the song live for the first time for Anna, Lily, and their family.
